Details about the Creative Style Piano Teacher Certification Program

Our certification program is divided into three training tracks. Each track comes with distinct instructional materials that are included in the cost of the tuition.  Although you can choose to sign up and become certified for tracks individually, we really designed them for you to take all three so that you will have the training necessary, no matter what age or level of student you may be working with at any one time. 

• Child Student Track -  Certification Tuition Cost: $50.00
• Designed for younger students, this track will teach you the best practices to integrate the creative style approach along with your current traditional teaching methods.
• The materials included in the tuition are:
• Play Piano in a Flash for Kids book ($12.95 retail)
• Kids First Fake Book ($24.95 retail)
• Child Student Teacher’s Guide ($9.95 retail)
  

• Adult Student Track – Certification Tuition Cost: $50.00
• This track focuses on the unique needs/desires of the adult student and is again designed to augment your traditional teaching methods. 
• The materials included in the tuition are:
• Play Piano in a Flash book ($12.95 retail)
• Favorites & Holiday Songs Fake Book ($34.95 retail)
• Adult Student Teacher’s Guide ($9.95 retail)

• Next Step Track – Certification Tuition Cost: $50.00
• This track will give you the needed information on how to continue a student’s instruction from either of the previous tracks, progressing toward a more advanced level.
• The materials included in the tuition are:
• The Next Step book ($24.95 retail)
• Next Step Teacher’s Guide ($9.95 retail)

How do you receive your training for certification?

When we developed this program, we thought long and hard about how best to get this information to you, the private piano teacher. We wanted to give you access to all of the training on YOUR terms and on YOUR time schedule. After considering options such as local workshops, on-site training classes, etc., we came to the conclusion that the most time-efficient and cost-effective way for you to get the training and information you need would be through internet-based video instruction.

Our certification program can be accessed 24 hours a day from any web connected computer with high-speed Internet access. (Click here to see exactly what is required. You can also try our test page that checks your system's readiness to view the material) This enables you to view the training videos at your leisure, not at our convenience. Our system will automatically keep track of your training progress and lead you sequentially through the chapter segments for each track.  You will also have the ability to review any training segments that you have already completed should you wish to review anything.

How do I become certified and how long does the program take?
After signing up online and paying your tuition (either with a credit card or by check,) we will immediately ship your materials which you should receive in most cases in 3-5 days. You will want to have them when you begin the certification training videos.  While it is not necessary to be in front of your piano when viewing the video training segments, we do suggest that you have these materials in front of you so that you can work through them with us as we discuss them in the videos. 

Each of the (3) three tracks contains approximately (10) ten individual video training segments ranging anywhere from 5-15 minutes in length.  The segments are presented sequentially.  Our system tracks your progress. Once you’ve completed viewing a segment, it will allow you to move on to the next video.  After you have completed all of the segments within one track, you are certified for that specific track.  At this point, you will be notified by email how to begin receiving your numerous benefits, such as the material discounts and your listing in the “find a teacher” database. (see below)     
 

Creative Style Piano Certification Benefits For You and Your Studio

20% - 30% Student Material Discounts
Upon certification, you will be given special instructions that allow you to purchase the student materials for your certified track(s) on our website at a discount. A 20% discount will be given on all purchases of student materials in any quantities. A 30% quantity discount is offered on any purchase of 5 or more of the same student package at one time.  This will allow you to offer your students the convenience of buying needed materials directly from you at retail prices resulting in extra income for you.

20% Discount On Other Materials Available On Our Website
Upon certification, you will also be able to buy any other materials available on our website at a 20% discount.  These materials may be for you or, again, you can purchase them on behalf of your students thus resulting in potential extra income for you and your studio.

Inclusion in the “Find a Certified Teacher” Database
There will be a “Find a teacher” link available on every page of our heavily trafficked website that will allow prospective students to find you by geographic area. You will have the opportunity to include as much or as little contact information as you wish. Due to the television programs airing nationwide on a constant basis, we get numerous requests for local teacher contacts. If recruitment is important to your studio, this is a terrific way to build your studio’s enrollment!

Priority Email Support
As a certified teacher, you will be given a private email address where you can send any questions you may have about teaching this creative style approach. These messages will be given priority attention directly from Scott, Bradley, and their team of teachers. You’ll never need to be concerned about not having the support you need should any questions or concerns arise.

A Certified Teachers’ Only Forum
This private forum accessed from our website is available for the discussion and sharing of questions, ideas and experiences from fellow certified teachers. We're really excited about the collaborative opportunities this will provide you to share and learn from other certified teachers best practices and experiences.

Next Step Track Tuition: $50 – (Includes $34.90 in materials)  

Annual Certification Renewal: Annual Renewal Fee: $20.00

In order to keep our Certified Teacher database current for the "Find a Teacher" link, and to continue to administer and add potential future teacher benefits to the program we will require this modest yearly renewal fee on the 12 month anniversary of your certification.
